    Carlos “C R” Rene Cantu

    July 20, 1979 – Nov. 4, 2006

    Carlos Rene “C.R.” Cantu, 27, a resident of McAllen, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2006 in an Edinburg hospital after a sudden illness.
    He was born July 20, 1979 in Alice, Texas and attended Hebbronville High School for three years, where he qualified for the All State Band representing 31-AAA. He graduated from Edinburg North High School in 1998. He attended UTSA for 3 semesters and was currently enrolled at UTPA as a music major. He was currently employed with the Valley Symphony as a clarinetist. He is survived by his parents, Jose and Alicia “Lina” Cantu of McAllen, Texas; his two brothers, Jose R. Cantu and Alberto R. Cantu both of McAllen, Texas; his beloved pet companions, Ralf and Thorr.

    Rest in peace at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas.

    My time had come, I had to leave. I’m in God’s arms, so do not grieve. Brought on the wings of our butterflies. I’m safe back home in paradise.

    Alexis “Buddy” Anthony Martinez

    Jan. 24, 1983 – May 3, 2003

    He was 20-years old and died, he is survived by his parents, Frank and Debbie Martinez of Freer Texas, he was a graduated of Freer High School Class of 2001 with honors in the top 15 of his class. Hi was a good football player for the Freer Buckaroos, he also served as Vice President of his Class. In summer he served as a lifeguard at the swimming pool, hi was currently enrolled in his second year of college at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas.

    He is buried at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer Tx.
